All paperwork must be filled out prior to trying out for a sport. Please see the “Forms” page for all the paperwork needed. Prior to trying out for a sport during the school year, students must check in with the Nease Athletic Trainer to confirm they are cleared to tryout. There will be a “Check In” table for each sport or you can bring paperwork to the Nease front office. (Summer hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) Physicals and paperwork are good for one year.
Nease Fall Sports Tryouts
Swim – The swim paperwork turn-in is set for Monday, July 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Media Center. Please bring your forms completed and signed along with your check for $275 made out to the Nease Swim Team. Team and FHSAA forms can be found under the “Forms” tab on www.neaseswimanddive.com. Sorry, but no forms can be accepted without the accompanying fees. If you are unable to attend, you may drop off your forms and fees off at the Nease front office addressed to “Nease Swim Team” prior to July 25th. Tryouts for the Swim Team will be Monday through Friday August 1-5 from 8-10 a.m. at the Palencia pool. Plan to attend every day and bring towel, goggles, and a water bottle. Team practice will commence Monday through Friday immediately after try-outs have been concluded. Team suits will be available for sizing at the pool on the week of try-outs. See you on deck!!!
Boys Golf – Tryouts are scheduled for August 2 and August 4 at the Palencia Golf Course (Black Tees). To tryout you must have all your paperwork turned in to Nease Athletics. Contact Coach Walter at 904-540-5384 or email@example.com to arrange your tryout tee time.
Girls Golf – Tryouts are scheduled for Thursday, August 4 at 3:30 p.m. at the Palencia Golf Course. Pre-tryout practices are set for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (August 1-3) at 4:30 p.m. at Palencia. To tryout you must have all your paperwork turned in to Nease Athletics.
Volleyball – Tryouts are scheduled for Monday, August 1 and Tuesday, August 2 in the Nease gym from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nease plans to have a Freshman, JV and Varsity team. Make sure your have your paperwork completed to tryout. Team practices will begin on August 3.

Strength and Conditioning Camp – The 2016 Panther Strength and Conditioning Camp is set to begin on May 31 and continue through July 26. The camp runs Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is for incoming 9th -12th grade students. See the attached camp flyer: 2016 Strength and Conditioning Camp
Boys Soccer Camp – The Boys Soccer team has a camp set for July 25 through July 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Nease. More information see the attached flyer. 2016 Boys Soccer Camp
Meet the Coaches Night
Nease is hosting a “Meet the Coaches Night” on Tuesday, August 2 for registered Nease students to get information about high school sports. There will be an athletics discussion in the PAC from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Then we will have two breakout sessions for students to meet with coaches. The first sports breakout session is from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the second breakout session is from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Player of the Year
Nease senior student-athlete Aris Duffey was named the St. Johns County “2015-16 Defensive Player of the Year” for Football by the St. Augustine Record. Congratulations!
Rising sophomore Katherine Jakeway was named as the St. Augustine Record’s “2014-15 Player of the Year” for Girls Tennis. She beat the number one player from every county public school at least once this spring. Katherine ended the season with a 15-1 record. Congratulations!
Cheer Team Wins Grand Championship!
Congratulations to our Nease Competitive Cheer Squad for winning First Place – Small Varsity Division at the UCA All Out Championships at UNF this weekend. The Nease Team was also named Grand Champion at the event, which means they scored higher than all 26 teams in every category!!! Congratulations Coach Melissa Fraum! Visit Cheer Site
