Required Paperwork

All paperwork must be filled out prior to trying out for a sport.  Please see the “Forms” page for all the paperwork needed.  For 2017 Fall Sports, you can bring your FHSAA paperwork to the Nease front office (temporarily located at Valley Ridge Academy) until July 28 after that we will be back at Nease 

Prior to trying out for a sport during the school year, students must check in with the Nease Athletic Trainer to confirm they are cleared to tryout. There will be a “Check In” table for each sport or you can bring paperwork to the Nease front office.  Physicals and paperwork are good for one year.

Summer Sports Camps/Conditioning

Football Conditioning Camp – go to www.neasefootball.org website for details and forms.

Girls Volleyball – Volleyball camp is scheduled for July 25-28 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Nease gym.  The registration form is available at http://www.neasevolleyball.org.  The camp is open to all players but is recommended for rising 7th -10th graders wanting to sharpen their skills before tryouts.

Tennis – High School Prep Tennis Camp at the Palencia Tennis Center.  Please see the attached flyer for details.  Tennis Camp Flyer

2017 Fall Sports Tryouts

Football Team –  There is a Football (paperwork turn-in) mandatory meeting scheduled for Monday, July 24 at 11 a.m. in the Weight Room.  All interested players need to complete paperwork to participate in Football.

Boys Golf Team – There is a Boys Golf player/parent meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Palencia Clubhouse in the Bistro Room. All interested players need to attend to get information about tryouts.

Girls Golf Team – If you are interested in trying out for Girls Golf please turn in your required paperwork to Nease before July 31 so you can attend the first practice on Monday, July 31 at 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Masterfit Driving Range located at 14055 Phillips Hwy., Jax FL 32256 (7 miles North of Nease).  Tryouts will begin on Tuesday, August 1 at 4 p.m. at Palencia’s Golf Course with a practice on Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at Palencia.  A tryout rain date is scheduled for Thursday, August 3 at 4 p.m. at Palencia.

Swim Team – The Swim Team has a Registration Night scheduled for Monday, July 24 at the Palencia Fitness Center/Pool from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for students to drop off paperwork.  (Palencia – 1879 N. Loop Parkway, St Augustine, FL 32095.  Go to http://www.neaseswimanddive.com for Swim parent forms and go to the Forms tab on this site for all of the FHSAA required forms.  If you can’t make it to the Registration Night come by Valley Ridge Academy before July 28 or after that date come to Nease -Administration to drop off paperwork.

Girls Volleyball – Tryouts are scheduled for Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 1 in the Nease gym from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Please make sure you turn in all of your paperwork before July 31 to be eligible to tryout.

Nease Baseball State Champions!

Congratulations to the Boys Baseball team for winning the 2017 FHSAA 7A State Championship!  The team traveled to Fort Myers for the State Finals and beat King High School (Tampa)  with a score of 11-0.  Nease knocked out Dwyer High School  (Palm Beach Gardens) with a score of 2 -1 to make it to the Championship game against King.

District Champions/Regional Runner Up

Congratulations to the Nease Girls Golf team for winning the District 6 Championship!  They had the low team score of 308 and the next closest score was 327.  Way to go girls!!  They continued their season at Regionals and placed as runner up and went to States and placed fourth!

Player of the Year

Nease senior student-athlete Aris Duffey was named the St. Johns County “2015-16 Defensive Player of the Year” for Football by the St. Augustine Record. Congratulations!

Rising sophomore Katherine Jakeway was named as the St. Augustine Record’s “2014-15 Player of the Year” for Girls Tennis. She beat the number one player from every county public school at least once this spring. Katherine ended the season with a 15-1 record. Congratulations!

Cheer Team Wins Grand Championship!

Congratulations to our Nease Competitive Cheer Squad for winning First Place – Small Varsity Division at the UCA All Out Championships at UNF this weekend.  The Nease Team was also named Grand Champion at the event, which means they scored higher than all 26 teams in every category!!!  Congratulations Coach Melissa Fraum! Please complete the attached Driver’s form. Please send the form and a copy of your Driver’s License and your Insurance Declarations Page to Angie Stricklin, Athletics Department. You must also complete the on-line Volunteer form on the Nease High School website.

Neff Letter Jacket Orders – The Neff Company Letter jacket order forms are available in the Athletics Office.  Just bring in your letter, complete the form, and attach a check and we will get your order sent in to Neff.
